I second this feature request.
To take it one step further it would be nice as an admin to be able to set up defaults globally across all catalogs.
I like this approach. I am intrigued and would love to talk more about how you are using this in your workflow.
I know this was added in the 2.1.4
What would be nice is the ability to view the security groups setup at the AD level. We have a range of staff that are put into different security groups. When I go to add users to a NP site there is no user grouping and I have to look through those lists and filter down to those users in order to add them.
This can be refined for easier user management.

Can you clarify this? I know that when you create a catalog template it does not include custom data fields. That would be cool though. We have close to 100 catalogs and when I initially set those up it was a pain to go in and recreate for each catalog.
You would either want to have a separate catalog of the assets in their original location and then use the Move/Copy function in Portfolio to make the move. Or you would need to get directly on to your file server and move them 'behind the curtain' for Portfolio to pickup in a watch folder.
I am curious how you were able to move assets to another location without them dropping off from the watch folder? Are your watch folders not set to automatic update?
I have mentioned to them before that it is a flaw in their system that if an asset moves location on the server that it doesn't' track that movement. Instead of tracking it drops the asset and re-ingests as if it is a brand new asset and as a result the unique ID changes.
We have noticed the same issue. It is an overall bug they need to work through. I even discovered that Quicksearch is not configured to search as ID, as I was trying to do that. I have shown it to their development team, now we wait for that to be fixed.
I like what you are asking but I don't know how to set this.
I don't know the technical details in great depth, but we configured our NP sites and the web client to be accessed outside the company firewire. Basically your IT team have to configure security access of which port they would like to use for outside access. It can be configured in a few hours and not overly difficult. The bigger challenge you might face depending on who your company is would be getting through the political red tape to allow that access.

How many media engines is your organization running?
How did you determine the quantity?
How many assets overall are you ingesting/working with across all catalogs?
How many catalogs are you using?
What drives the need for multiple catalogs?
What we currently use now is a custom field with a boolean value so it is a checkbox. Follow the directions in making a custom field here. This is how it looks set up.
When a new asset is cataloged the Needs_Keyworded checkbox will be checked. You can then make a smart gallery to find all Needs_Keyworded that equals true. After adding keywords we uncheck the box so it is no longer found in gallery.

The Google fonts being downloaded by Suitcase Fusion currently only contain the English subset. We will be supporting the full Google Font via their updated API in an upcoming release. Until that time you can download the full font from Google and add it to Suitcase manually..
I know this isn't the best workaround but it should allow you to use all the characters you need in the meantime.

Suitcase Fusion 6 was released in October of 2014. At the time of the last update in February of this year, it supported (and continues to support) CS 5/5.1 - CC 2015 on OS X ranging from OS 10.6 - 10.11 (provided Adobe is still supporting a particular OS). SF6 owners continue to receive free technical support as well. However, with the release of Suitcase Fusion 7 in May, development on SF6 ended and we no longer offer it for sale, just as we did with SF6.
When SF7 was released, it supported the most recent Adobe updates as well as Apple OS. With their Summer 2016 release, Abode updated their applications to the point that required us to update our plug-ins as well. That update was available the same day Adobe announced their release. We will continue to update SF7 as needed to maintain host application and OS compatibility for as long as SF7 is available for sale.
As a Suitcase Fusion 6 owner, you are eligible for upgrade pricing. And if you purchased SF6 after March 1st of this year, you are eligible for a free upgrade to Suitcase Fusion 7.
